Future Home of the SAHC Cultural Heritage Center
The Superior Carnegie Library building located at 1204 Hammond ave was the first thought of the Superior African Heritage Community. It is an Iconic architectural landmark with a history rooted in the community. We envision revitalization of this beautiful property that will also preserve its historic character while giving it a new life for the People of Color communities we serve.
THE PROJECT
The SAHC Cultural Heritage Center Project aims to establish a central hub for the People of Color communities of the greater Superior WI and Twin Ports region. The building will house the following wrap around services:
Hagen Heritage Day Care Center(*)
Rise Cultural Heritage Resource Library
Spartan Place Teen Challenge and Drop in Center
Superior Advocacy Office-some services offerings may include;
-Fathers Rise Together Advocacy -Youth Empowerment and Life Skills
-Art Enrichment/ Community Healing -Native American Sovereignty Center
-Family and Community Advocacy Services -Community Health Care screenings -Community Housing Advocacy -Northland LGBTQIA? Services

Development of a Teen Challenge Center for our at risk youth in the City of Superior/Douglas County.
Our goal is to offer wrap around services to the community including the development of a Teen Challenge Center for our at risk youth in the City of Superior/Douglas County. By building working community networks and collaboratives with area organizations and individuals we believe this to be a very achievable goal. Will you be a part of this coalition?
